David Belle stars in this French action thriller directed by Pierre Morel. In 2010, the poorer suburbs of Paris are rife with social unrest. The worst of these, Banlieue 13, is walled off by the authorities and its two million inhabitants are left to fend for themselves. Three years later, the district is run by gangs but Leïto (Belle) attempts to fight back against their activities. When the authorities learn that Taha (Bibi Naceri), a ruthless gang leader, has taken possession of a nuclear bomb, undercover officer Damien Tomaso (Cyril Raffaelli) is sent into the district to disarm it. He meets Leïto there and the two men join forces but as they search for the bomb, Leïto uncovers evidence of a sinister conspiracy. The cast also includes Tony D'Amario, Dany Verissimo and François Chattot.
